Born in Thailand but raised across Asia, Sydney and London, Sonya currently calls Singapore home. The diversity of her childhood is reflected in her uniquely exotic Pan-Asian blend, the result of her Chinese/Thai and British parentage.
Sonya’s foray into the public eye was at the tender age of 15 when she started modelling. After landing a Sony commercial and Celcom campaign, it didn’t take long for more brands to follow - Ponds, Sunsilk, Nikon, Panasonic and Nestle, among others.
In 2008, Sonya competed against renowned actresses in Asia and landed her very first acting assignment - a speaking role in the Hollywood film ‘Fair Game’, alongside Naomi Watts and Sean Penn. She has also appeared in several music videos.
Since relocating to Singapore, Sonya has been seen in the popular interior design reality show ‘The Apartment’ and she has landed print and television jobs with international and local brands like Biore, UOB, Starhub, Dulux, Pioneer and Honda. She was also one of Female magazine’s 50 Most Gorgeous People.
Besides modelling, Sonya also has experience in hosting, with the Bacardi Martini-Williams Martini F1 Event and Zoukout 2013 events under her belt. Sonya is currently the face of RTL CBS Asia Entertainment Network.
